Q: 1.Why does my output file(s) does not have video?

A: IPlease check if you are using a NVidia video card. If so, you might have enabled the full screen video, which would prevent you from converting the video image. So just close the option "full screen video" In addition, you should download a k-lite codec package from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm to your system.

Q: 2.When finished converting AVI file(s), there is no sound or very low sound in the output file(s):

A:Please just adjust the AC3Filter. And you can visit http://www.videohelp.com for some more details on how to do that.

Q: 3.When converting AVI to DVD/SVCD/VCD...it stops at 99%?

A:Please download a new patch named "MMEncoder(1).DLL" from Download page and then save it to the WinAVI VideoConverter folder to replace the original one.

Q: 4.When converting a MP4 file to a WMV file and WinAVI crashes.

A:You should download a codec from http://www.mpegable.com and then you will be able to do the conversion.

Q: 5.The burned disc can be played with computer, but it cannot be played with DVD player.

A:The burned disc might not be compatible with your DVD player. Please visit http://www.videohelp.com to find some information on how to make the disc compatible with your DVD player. For example, you can try to use other software to make a disk compatible with stand alone DVD players. (Burn a disk with WinAVI Video Converter, which plays well on your computer, and then copy it disk with DVD X Copy to get a useable DVD for home use).

Q: 6.The "Help" button on the program interface does not work properly:

A:Please rename the "winaviEN.chm" to "winavi.chm" in the "WinAVI Video converter\help" folder or you can download a new patch named "Major.DLL" from Download page, and then unzip and save it to the WinAVI Video Converter folder to replace the original one.

A:Please make sure that Windows Media Player can play the source file. If the source file can be played by WMP, maybe there is something wrong with the codecs on your PC. Please download a K-Lite package from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

Q: 10.WinAVI creates two DVD folders while the settings are for creating one DVD disc:

A:If the movie is too long, the output file will be too large to fit on a normal DVD-R/+R. If so, just correct the problem by manually reselecting a larger output size. (For example, you can change the disc's capacity from 3850MB to 4300MB). Also, you can try resetting it as follows:
Select the "Constant Video Quality" as the output mode, and then change to either "Low" or "Lower" as the output quality. Meanwhile, select the option "Split output size", and then set the split size at 1013MB. Then, the output size will be much smaller, so that you may make it fit on one DVD disc.

Q: 11.Why Nero6.6.0.8 says that a VCD made by WinAVI Video Converter is illegal, while Nero 6.3 works very well with a VCD made by WinAVI.

A:It is because a VCD made by WinAVI Video Converter is 1152kbps while the new version of Nero 6.6 only works with a 1150KBps VCD. We fixed this problem. Please just click the following link http://www.winavi.com/download/MMEncoder.DLL, to get a new MMEncoder.DLL file, and then save it to the WinAVI Video Converter folder to replace the original one of the program.

Q: 12.Unable to burn to DVD because of a VOB.NAV file in the "Video_TS" folder.
